In 1834 he opened his own school in Lincoln although he was only 19 years old. In 1838 Robert Hall, who had run Hall’s Academy in Waddington, died and Boole was invited to take over the school which he did. In the summer of 1840 he had opened a boarding school in Lincoln and again the whole family had moved with him.
